Fisherman turned food manufacturer Kevin Jonas has hatched a plan to bring large-scale production of Cromer crab back to its North Norfolk home town of Cromer, creating 20 jobs.
Young’s Seafood has announced that it will cease production at the Cromer Crab Company site in Cromer, Norfolk with the loss of 109 jobs between June and August this year.
The loss of 230 jobs in jeopardy at a north Norfolk shellfish plant, following a review of manufacturing operations at the site, is far from a foregone conclusion, a leading MP has told FoodManufacture.co.uk.
